Dr. Shelley Kingsbury, Medical Director, is a native of Punta Gorda.  She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 1988.  After graduation she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, Florida

Following completion of her internship she returned to Punta Gorda and has been practicing here at Punta Gorda Animal Hospital since  1990.

Her husband, Dr. Kurt Winter rejoined the practice in 2004.  They reside together with their family here in Punta Gorda. 






Dr. Kurt Winter received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 1989.  He moved to Florida and practiced here at Punta Gorda Animal Hospital until 1992.  He practiced in Fort Myers for 11 years before returning to Punta Gorda Animal Hospital in 2004.
